HMP Millsike, the UK’s newest, and first ‘green’ prison, is due to open in early 2025 and will be operated by Mitie’s Care & Custody team on behalf of the Ministry of Justice. This Category C prison is set to revolutionise sustainability in the UK’s prison landscape by consuming 75% less energy than traditional prisons, thanks to it running solely on electricity and carbon reduced technologies like solar panels and heat pumps.

We’re looking for up to 700 motivated, caring individuals who will work seamlessly together to provide a safe and secure environment at HMP Millsike.
Mitie’s Care & Custody team is committed to diversity and inclusion.
